![]() ![]() Movement feels good in this game, and considering there are quite a few navigational puzzles, that’s one crucial aspect down pat. The team at Touch Foo put some polish into it. It’s a 2D platformer, so you have the basics. The best part of this one, is its gameplay. However, aesthetic alone does not a game make. While this game is a homage to old school platformers in general, the adventures of Link are what it takes after the most.Īnd it’s a very good homage, because my mind kept thinking about just how much this felt like it could belong on the Switch, with slightly updated graphics, as an official game. And that’s the ‘feel’ you get from this game.( Which is…very odd, considering that there are no 2D or 2.5D Zelda platformers.) I’ve been replaying the game in preparation for this article(and to get screenshots), and I’m pleased that it’s as fun as it was. And I had a new respect for mobile games. And 2 days later, I had finished the game, throughly satisfied with it. Sure, Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja and Candy Crush were good time-wasters, but they were little more.Īnd then, a game called Swordigo somehow came to my attention. Up till that point, I had largely dismissed mobile games. The first one I was actually invested in, which I finished with a tinge of sadness knowing I wouldn’t get to play more of it.
